try urinating into your radiator, this often solves the problem due to the molecular bonds that pee or "urine" produce
Stupid people give stupid answers. The alternator has nothing to do with the car starting. It charges the battery, but is not required to start the car. If the battery is charged does the car turn over? If not, it may be the starter or solenoid depending on the make of the car. Clean and tight battery connections are needed. Message me back and I'll see what else I can suggest.
Check the battery cables or starter.
it may be the starter going out doing it . it will kill the alternator if it keeps going . I know i had it happen to my 96 olds replaced the alt still didnt start and the starter fixed it
Have you alternator checked also starter my be going out.
The computer only resets when the battery is removed. The alternator just charges the battery, so if the battery is left connected when the alternator is replaced, the computer should not reset.
If the alternator is bad the car will still start. You just need a fully charged battery. Once running then you can check the charge rate from the battery with a volt meter.
That could be the alternator or the battery. Try jump starting your car with another car's battery. If it still does not start, it is probably the alternator. If it starts, your battery is dead.
Check for fuel and spark to the cylinders
your alternator need replaced most likely or it could be your starter If the car continues to run after you jump start it and just won't start when you shut it off, try a new battery.
did you check the alternator??
You may have a weak or dead battery.
I have a 2.0 1995 Mercury mystique the battery charge light was on no output on old alternator. Replaced alternator No output from new alternator "charge light out" (wiggle test wires& re-check wires) at alternator *still no output* is there a fuse that could be the problem or just another bad alternator... I would check the alternator plug before getting another alternator, it may be bad. And is a lot cheaper to replace.
Find an ammeter to find out what the starter is pulling. If the starter is pulling too much current, you probably need to replace the starter, but don't just go off replacing parts until you test them. Apparantly that plan didn't work to well for you when you replaced the battery and alternator. Always test first!
