Relearn idle is a process commonly associated with vehicle maintenance, particularly in modern cars equipped with electronic throttle control systems. It involves resetting the engine's idle speed parameters to ensure optimal performance after repairs or battery disconnections. This procedure helps the engine control module (ECM) recalibrate and adapt to changes, ensuring smooth idling and proper engine operation. Typically, relearn idle can be performed through specific driving conditions or using diagnostic tools.
it is not affected by fuse. the ECU controls the idle electronically. you need to do an idle relearn prosedure.
You dont adjust the Idle disconnect the battery for 10 mins and reconnect and the computer should relearn it idle .
if battery has gone dead or has been disconected you will have to have your idle relearned How do you relearn the idle?
To perform an idle relearn procedure on a 2003 Cadillac CTS with a 3.2L engine, start by ensuring the vehicle is in park and the engine is at normal operating temperature. Next, let the engine idle for about 10 minutes without any load, allowing the idle speed to stabilize. After that, turn off the engine, wait for about 30 seconds, and then restart it to complete the relearn process. Finally, take the vehicle for a short drive to allow the engine control module to adapt to any changes.

The engine computer has "lost" its idle memory. You need to unhook the battery for 5 minutes. That should reset it, and upon start up it should relearn idle positions.
You may have to clean throttle body if battery was disconnected for a while so pcm can relearn proper idle speed.
A vacuum leak could do that. Did it have a high idle before you changed the throttle body? Any codes?
you need to take it to a professional mechanic shop and get an idle relearn. you pay for it to be diagnosed. est. $80

Let it idle for over one minute in Park without a/c on. Let it idle for over one minute in Drive with brake pedal depressed. Let it idle for over one minute in Drive with brakes pedal depressed and a/c on.
Drive it. It will relearn itself. It may take a few drive cycles.
