The problem with the Nissan Elgrand if it does not start when the switch is on could be a mechanical problem.
my Nissan elgrand just cut out when I was driving it now it wont start can you help me
Probably just an adjustment of the switch.
The problem lies in the ignition switch - had a Nissan pick-up that did the same thing.
If a 1997 Nissan Maxima will crank but will not start, there could be a problem with the fuel pump. Another possibility is an issue with the ignition switch.
start by checking the switch on the clutch. if the switch is bad, the car won't start. this may not be the problem, but it is a good place to begin your diagnoses.
when you start the car up that's your ignition switch is located...
Its the ignition switch change it and that will stop the problem
how can i solve the problem
Is the selenoid getting power when the switch is turned to the start position? If yes, it's not a switch problem. Is power coming THROUGH the switch and to the starter when the key is turned to start? If not, it's a selenoid problem. If yes, it's a starter problem.
try to change the netural safety switch that should fix the problem
If you have an alarm on your car, make sure there isn't a kill switch on it.
try the starter this happened to me once it didnt do anything when i turned on the ignititon but i could push start it
