My GE side by side refrigerator I purchased in 2009 from Home Depot was manufactured in Mexico as per the label. It has been serviced 6 times and is today considered "unrepairable". I'm on my 2nd GE dishwasher also purchased in 2009 from Home Depot. The first quit working a month after the one year warranty expired. Thank God I had extended warranty on the refrigerator. I would not buy another GE appliance manufactured in Mexico OR without extended warranty. You no longer get what you pay for with GE products!
