All solid state relays are relays, but not all relays are solid state relays.

There are three basic kinds of (protective) relays I know of: electromechanical (rely on induced voltages and currents to spin disks or energize solenoids), solid state (built with solid state parts - basically prerequisites to microprocessors), and microprocessor based relays (fancy computers).

Can a 120V solid state relay stands 240V?

No.If you are looking of a relay that will allow 240V, many suppliers sell a SSR that will handle up to 280V AC. Most are triggered by 3-32v dc.Just google: solid state relay OR solid state contactor

What is the difference between relay and ssr?

A relay is an electrically operated switch that uses an electromagnet to mechanically operate its contacts. An SSR (Solid State Relay) is a semiconductor device that uses electronic components to switch power on and off without any moving parts. SSRs are generally faster, quieter, and have longer lifespans compared to mechanical relays.

Can you replace an 3 phase solid state relay with a contactor on a 3 phase heater?

Not without other modifications. The circuits used to turn the solid state relay on will not be suitable for turning a contactor on.

What is the difference between solid fuels and liquid fuels with suitable examples?

The difference will be in their physical state i.e., solid and liquid state and in their chemical composition. Solid fuels that are used are the filling inside bombs i.e,. gun powder. Liquid fuels used are RDX etc.

What are the terminals on a solid state relay called?

The terminals on a solid state relay are typically called input terminals and output terminals. The input terminals are used to connect the control signal that activates the relay, while the output terminals are used to connect the load that is being switched on or off by the relay.
