Yes. As long as you are not in violation of the 10ft.,25ft or 100ft tap rule. Each XFMR should be fused @ 125% FLA. as such secondary does not have to have a main breaker. RK Class 5 fuses should be used.

What are the major equipment of substation?

Transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, busbar systems, earthing systems, protection systems.

What devices use transformers?

Transformers are used to change the voltage in a circuit from high to low or from low to high. Some of the gadgets that use transformers include surround sound systems, the CPU power supply and speakers which have inbuilt amplifiers.

What are the applications of autotransformer?

Power transformers may be step-up or step-down. Distribution transformers are step-down. Isolation transformers are 1:1 ration transformers. Matching transformers are used in electronic circuits for impedence matching purposes. Instrument transformers are used to measure high-voltage voltages and currents or to operate protective systems.

What is a curect transformer?

A 'current transformer' is a type of transformer which, together with a 'voltage transformer' (or 'potential transformer' in N America), is classified as being an 'instrument transformer'. It is used to reduce large currents to smaller currents which can be measured safely, and to isolate the primary circuit from the secondary circuit for the purposes of safety. Current transformers are also used to drive protective relays used in high-voltage protection systems.

Basic operation of a 3-phase transformer?

Three Phase transformers have three windings. If connected in Delta, it will have R Y B phase winding, voltage between RY, YB and BR. Phase voltage and line voltage are same. If connected in Star, there will be a neutral as well with RYB. Line voltage and Phase voltage are different. Line voltage = 1.73 x Phase voltage.

What is ferro-resonance effects?

The effects of ferro-resonance are the ungrounded primary transformers, higher distribution in the voltage systems. Other effects are the lightly loaded transformers.

What types of transformers are made by Hammond?

The type of transformers that are made by Hammond are the Power Distribution Systems. These Power Distribution Systems are dry-type power transformers.

What are the uses of instrument?

The term, 'instrument transformer', is applied to current transformers and voltage transformers (known, in North America, as 'potential Transformers'). The primary windings of instrument transformers are connected to high-voltage systems, and their secondary windings provide outputs to measuring instruments or protective relays. They also provide isolation from the high-voltage system for the purpose of safety.

Can booster transformer be used in dc distribution system?

No. Transformers work in AC systems, not in DC systems.

What is the heart of local intelligence systems?

The heart of local intelligence systems is the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to provide insights and support decision-making at the local level. It involves utilizing technology and tools to gather and process information relevant to specific communities or regions to improve governance, planning, and service delivery.

Differentiate between Simple Batch Operating Systems and Time-sharing Operating Systems

What is the example of time sharing system?

One example of a time-sharing system is the bank's bankcard system, which allows hundreds of people to access the same program on the mainframe at the same time. The Multics & Unix operating systems are time sharing Operating Systems
