Normally the Emitter lead should be connected to a negative source, the collector to a positive source, and the base to a positive source. the condition is that the collector V should be the highest positive Voltage through the transistor for it to work properly.

Now the thing to remember is that if a small amount of current flows through the base then large current will be transferred from the emitter to the collector. therefore it is recommended that the base has a potentiometer to allow you to variate the current to make sure you have the most efficient bias. Another Key thing that you should know is that the best voltage to bias a transistor at is directly between the forward break over voltage and saturation if you dont know these terms then look them up. otherwise those are the conditions for current magnification of a transistor

How transistor acts as a amplifier?

A transistor does not act as an amplifier. It is used as a component in an amplifier circuit.

When a PNP transistor is connected in a circuit it can be used as a power amplifier because?

A PNP transistor has no advantage or disadvantage over an NPN transistor in its ability as an amplifier. Rather, the current-handling capacities of the transistor determine if it's usable as an amplifier.

When transistor acts as an amplifier then does its output voltage increase or decrease?

That depends on both the input signal and the type of amplifier the transistor is used in.

Bias conditions must be present for the normal operation of a transistor amplifier?

All of the transistors must be biased in their operating range to work correctly.

Difference between cascode and cascade amplifier?

cascade: the output of one amplifier stage is connected to the input of another amplifier stages, it's also connected in series. cascode: it said to be cascode, when it has one transistor on the top of another where a common emitter transistor drives a common base transistor.

Quiescent operating point of a transistor amplifier lies in?

It lies in middle of the DC load line of that Amplifier.

What is difference between transistor and amplifier?

A transistor is an electronic component. By itself it has little use. An amplifier is a complete, functional circuit, generally made up of several components. A transistor can be a component part of an amplifier, however an amplifier may be constructed without any transistors (using vacuum tubes instead, for instance).
