A: THYRISTOR can be used to clamp damaging energy as opposed to a fuse that must blow open and invariably takes time to blow. A thyristor is much faster and controllable actually if the problem disappear it can be made to open up again and restore power for normal operation.

The voltage rating of a fuse (in this case 125V or 230V) defines the maximum circuit voltage that the fuse is safe to be used on. A fuse with a voltage rating of 125V should not be used in a circuit with a voltage greater than 125V. If a 125V fuse were installed in a 230V circuit and an overload current occurred, the fuse could explode.
A relay is a switch; it is not usually meant to open under fault conditions (high current), and would likely fail if done so. A fuse is a fault protection device. If a short circuit develops, large currents will flow, and the fuse link will melt, causing the circuit to open. There are also protective relays, which are devices that sense fault, or other undesireable conditions, and are used to send trip commands to breakers.
There are two sections of the fuse; a straight wire section that provides quick acting response to short circuit conditions, and a coiled spring section with a soldered lump with thermal mass that provides time delay for normal overload. When inspecting a blown fuse, you can tell if it was a short or an overload by looking at where the blowout occurred.
Fuse wire is designed to open under over current conditions. Just like a fuse.

There is no difference. Slo-Blo is just a trademarked name for a time delay fuse.

gL is the old designation for a general purpose fuse link--gG is the new name for that designation. Other than the name there appears to be no difference.
The ags is an obsolete fuse no longer in production. It is nearly identical to the agc except it has a larger diameter
Using the correct fuse for the equipment in use is very important as should a fault occur using the wrong fuse could be the difference between a blown fuse or an electrical fire / severe electric shock
the rewireable can be dissembled and has some sort of chucks to hold a new element

Both are same...
The fuse block in in the engine compartment under a cover, the fuse panel is located in a panel you access when you open the passenger side door.
I think he is asking what the lettering has to do with the label on a fuse. sfe, awg acg, aug, etc. Can they be used interchangeability.
