When AC full wave is rectified into DC by using bridge rectifier .The DC do not actually behave like an ordinary DC and the DC has a constant value .In fact, it is in pulsating form. This is known as Pulsating DC.
You can say DC voltage has a frequency of zero Hz.Because it is unidirectional in nature (may be positive or negative)
DC: constant current in the forward directionPulsating DC: An AC signal which has it's negative components blockedA: The terminology applies to a VALUE of DC being interrupted by its absence periodically or random
frequency is genrally cycle per second, and frequencies may be of a dc nature or ac , devices which convert dc frequency in to an ac frequency are frequency converters and devieces which convert ac frequency in to dc frequency are frequency inverters. because in terms of power electronics, devices which convert ac to dc are called converters, and devices which convert dc in to ac are called "inverters" 'mehboob hunzai" I'm a engineers in this devices, the frequency inverter is convert AC to AC but with variable frequency output, means the frequency & voltage are adjustable; The frequency converter can convert DC to AC, like 24VDC to 220VAC and also the frequency is adjustable. One most important thing is the out power of frequency inverter just can be used for controlling AC motor, while frequency converter can be treated as normal power supply as our daily using power grid. All types of generators induce EMF in sinusoidal wave form. (A.C.) In a D.C. generator the function of a commutator is to convert A.C. EMF into D.C. The commutator rectifies the output that is the alternating current so as to produce unidirectional alternating current (pulsating DC). This reverses the negative polarity current to a positive one so as the output is a pulsating DC.
Yes DC is periodic with zero frequency........and undefined fundamental time period To........
If the input is pulsating DC, then the output will be pulsating DC. It will not be shaped the same, but it will be close, depending on the frequency and rise and fall time in comparison with the inductive reactance of the transformer.
No, unless you have a pulsating DC
its commutator..which converts ac produced by and motor to pulsating dc ... more the commutator divide more accurate dc..means less pulse in dc
Not really. Frequency in is frequency out, unless there is some conversion circuit in between, such as a motor-generator set or some kind of inverter. You may (and should) notice, however, that a typical welding transformer is rectifying three phase AC to DC, using a full wave rectifier. This results in a pulsating DC voltage where the ripple frequency is 360hz.
To smooth the output of the pulsating DC.
we generally use filters to smooth the sharp curves of DC component we get when we rectify AC components the pulsating Dc is not desirable to a no. of devices. These filters are used to make the pulsating DC to a stable one . To be more clear a pulsating DC is viewed as a sum of DC component and AC component these filters actually block the AC components and retain the DC component . so, mainly capacitors and inductors are used to obstruct or pass the dc components respectively
To smooth the output of the pulsating DC.
A rectifier can convert AC to pulsating DC.
rectifier circuit convert ac to dc signal
voltage regulator is a component to convert pulsating DC into constant DC.
A "Rectifier" converts AC current to pulsating DC current.
A: As a DC source change state rapidly this variation is consider an AC component
