Variable DC power supply is:

Variable - you can adjust it

DC - direct current, electrons (electricity) flows in only one direction

power supply - power supply

Together, it's an adjustable one-way power supply

Hope you find this useful...

DC stands for Direct Current. It's a current that only flows in ONE direction. You get this kind of power from batteries and such. (As oppose to AC, which is Alternating Current. That's current that flows in two directions, continually reversing. You get AC supplied from the mains.)

I want to make power supply from 220 V AC to 300 V DC variable adjustable someone please help me or give me a link of workable circuit?

You could try using a simple variac to make the power supply from 220 V AC to 300 V DC variable adjustable. This will work just fine if you don't have a workable circuit.

What is a Variable 0 - 12V dc power supply?

A variable power supply has a control to adjust the DC output voltage from 0 to 12 volts. It is used for testing electric project's such as amplifiers and other electric devices. It can be used to replace other fixed voltages power supplies such as the srandard 3 volt, 5 volt, 9 volt and 12 volt units.

How can an ac generator be converted to DC generator?

It may not be possible to physically convert AC generator to DC generator. What can be done is that 'Rectifier' of suitable capacity can be connected to the out put of AC generator to get DC supply.

What are DC Choppers?

Dc chopper is a static device which converts constant dc source to variable dc.

How to calculate the resistance to step down DC voltage?

Connect a variable resistance across DC source (fixed ends of variable resistor or Rheostat) and take decreased DC output across its one fixed terminal and other variable terminal of variable resistor. Other method is connect variable resistor in series with DC output and load, vary the resistance and take decreased DC voltage as required.

Why transformer can not be used in dc supply?

The transformer cannot be used in the DC supply because it keeps on alternating its current, whereas the DC supply current should be constant.
