because working principle of both the things are same.

The motor converts electrical energy in to mechanical via magnetic induction and generator do the exact opposite of this.

And yes,you should use 'electricity generator' not only 'generator'.

What is reverse power of generator?

It is wise to start thinking of power in DC circuit. If a load is connected to a power source in a DC circuit, the corresponding VOLT CURRENT plot both will be in the positive quadrant. Of course, polarity must be correct. Now if the CURRENT (in the same polarity arrangement) happens to be in the negative quadrant, the power is said to be reversed. The same can be thought in an AC circuit. Taking a half wave cycle of both VOLT and CURRENT, one can apply the same understanding as in the DC circuit. If the AC circuit is capacitive or inductive, VOLT and CURRENT waves will be shifted according to the value of the capacitive or inductive load, and here one has to be aware. What is a compound dc generator?

generators are machines that convert machanical energy to electrical energy and could be AC or DC. if in a DC generator has it field armature connection in both series and parallel its said to be compound dc generator.

What is a thermal overload?

the relay used to protect the generator/motor from overload currents. And to protect insulation of the stator windings.

When is A 3-phase synchronous motor said to be floating when it operates?

What RPM and size generator would power an average us home?

A typical 100 amp service is comparable to a 25 KVA generator. That said, very few homes pull that much load. Most utilities size their distribution systems for a 5 KVA load per home, assuming that not all homes would pull full load at the same time. RPM is a function of the number of poles in the generator. To get 60 Hz power with a two pole generator, you need 1,800 RPM.

Electrical generator transfroms electrical energy into other energy?

An electrical generator generates electrical energy. It takes some kind of mechanical energy to turn the generator. The generator is said to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.

If a three phase motor loses one leg will it turn backwards before it burns up?

If a three phase motor loses one leg it will do neither of what you suggest. To change the rotation of a three phase motor any two motor leads must be interchanged. When one leg of a three phase system goes down it is said to be single phasing. The overload protection on the motor senses the higher current on the other two legs and trips the overload heaters. This in turn drops the contactor open and disconnects the motor from the supply.

What are the drugs that can reverse the effects of sleep deprivation?

CX717 is a drug that is said to reverse the effects of sleep deprivation. It has been tested on lab animals. Drugs with methamphetamines are also being said to help reverse this condition.

Can a 9 volt motor rotate 9 volt dynamo?

Are you going to use the 9-volt motor as a dynamo, and the 9-volt dynamo as a motor? Yes, the motor can rotate the dynamo because DC motors and DC generators are actually the same thing--they just apply power to the terminals of a motor to make it turn, and turn the shaft of a generator to make power appear at the terminals. Having said that, if you're going to try to connect the shaft of a 9v motor to the shaft of a 9v dynamo, and use the dynamo to power the motor so as to create a perpetual motion machine...that won't work. The motor wastes a little bit of energy, as does the dynamo. It is possible to build a device that uses a motor to drive an alternator, which is the AC version of a dynamo. You power the motor from the AC grid, and power something that's very sensitive to noise on the line from the alternator. This is called a Motor Generator set, and it's how they powered Cray-1 supercomputers.
