where do apply ligt activated scr, please diagram example.
it is a light activated silicon controlled rectifier that uses light to trigger the scr instead of a signal at the gate. The window for the light activation is where the gate normally is and the ligth excites the electrons thus triggering the scr. The Light Activated Silicon Control Rectifies start conduction when it is forward biased. For this purpose the cathode is kept at negative positional and anode is at positive positional. We apply a positive clock at the gate terminal and so the Silicon Control Rectifies turns ON. When forward bias voltage is applied to the Light Activated Silicon Control Rectifies, or applied light of a required level the junction J1 and J3 become forward bias while the junction J2 become reverse bias. When we apply a clock pulse at the gate terminal, the junction J2 become forward bias and the Light Activated Silicon Control Rectifies start conduction. The Light Activated Silicon Control Rectifies turn ON and OFF very quickly, At the OFF state the Light Activated Silicon Control Rectifies provide infinity resistance and in ON state, it offers very low resistance, which is in the range of 0.01Ω to 1Ω Tags:
A thyristor is a type of semi-conductor and is used in a circuit to control the application of electrical power to a load. They are often found as the switching element in light dimmers and can be used as control elements in power supplies (variable or regulated). Types of thyristors are diacs, triacs, sidacs and SCRs (silicon controlled rectifier).
The SCR's gate electrode is used to turn the SCR on, i.e. fire it.
thyristor can be scr or triac scr is strictly dc a triac is back to back scr's with a common gate two scr's back to back can be gated independently scrs cost less than triacs an scr can be combined with a full wave bridge to make an equivalent to a triac but this gives an additional 1.5V forward voltage drop
An SCR has three legs. The anode, cathode, and gate. The control voltage sent to the gate will allow the SCR to conduct.
A light-driven semiconductor device that prevents current flow in either direction until it receives a signal.
scr is a silicon control rectifier used to control the rectifing voltage.. its a bidirectional device can use it for both the directions......

activated by ultraviolet light
You can but there are issues with doing that. It will damage the SCR system. It will cause the SCR light to come on. IT will freeze hard in the winter.
An Silicon Controlled rectifier is most utilized in switching applications. For example: discharging a capacitor. Because a SCR stays on until a certain voltage between the collector and emitter drops bellow a certain level, the SCR will stay on when triggered until the capacitor is empty.
A SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) is typically a current rating device. It is important to consider the maximum rated current when selecting an SCR for a specific application to ensure proper functioning and safety.

because it is gcr not scr
A silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) can be triggered (or turned on) by forward voltage, temperature, dv/dt (the derivative of the voltage with respect to time), light, or via a gate (the SCR is triggered when sufficient voltage passes through the gate). Gate triggering is the most common method.
