Gas turbine engine deals with high temperature and pressure. So it is difficult to use it. However if certain modifications are done in it , it can probably be used in trains. And if this is done the trains would be very high speed. as it is gasturbine engines which powers aeroplanes
Yes, they are both used for power generation
It is used as a compressor. It has the same advantages over a piston compressor as a gas turbine engine has over a piston engine. i.e. no valves, much lower part count and much greater efficiency.
My dadd uses turbine to heat the gas of hiss engine after he stopped at the gas stop and didn't find any gas left. ( This may be a weird looking sentence for turbine, but at least I got an A on it. )
Ratchet mechanisms used in Gas power plant for Gas Turbine. (like Barring gear in steam turbine).
Turbine i.e., engine converts fuel energy to mechanical energy by means of combustion...This turbine will drive the generator shaft i.e., mechanical input and the output will be electrical power and this electrical power will feed into induction motor which will converts this electrical power to mechanical power i.e., to drive the propeller and the ship will propel. The turbine used may be gas turbine or hydraulic turbine which depends on the speed of the ship should advance.
They use both terms. A turbine engine that's being used in an aircraft is a "jet engine," and a turbine engine that's being used in a ground-based application is a "gas turbine." Sometimes it's the same engine--the Lycoming engine used in the CH-47 as a "jet engine" is also used in the M-1 tank as a "gas turbine."
A handle, a pair of pedals, a treadmill, a water mill, a petrol engine, a diesel engine, a wind turbine, a steam turbine, a gas turbine.
A gas turbine engine will usually yield more power by weight than a piston engine. Main downside is that it can't be throttled very well. Energy efficiency isn't all that good to start with, and will drop right down if it has to be operated outside its optimum range.
Gas Turbine.
Main difference is that in a gas turbine, combustion is continuous. In a piston engine, combustion is pulsed.
Reciprocating (Petrol powered with pistons). Gas turbine (jet).
the Chevrolet volt is a series hybrid car.it mainly runs on battery power.the battery is charged by the regenerative braking and the gas turbine engine.when the battery power is low,the gas turbine engine is switched on.the gas turbine engine is connected to a generator which produces electricity to charge the low powered batteries.the gas turbine engine does not power the car direcly,it just produces electricity. The Chevy Volt has a 1.4 liter 84 h.p. internal combustion gasoline engine that requires premium fuel. it is not a gas turbine engine.
That depends on what you are thinking of. Gas turbine usually refers to all types of jet engines and engines that use the 'jet engine' concept. The turbine engine you are thinking of could be one of a few things, like a jet engine for military aircraft, turboprop, or turbofan for commercial engines.
Yes, they are both used for power generation
TURBINE
It is used as a compressor. It has the same advantages over a piston compressor as a gas turbine engine has over a piston engine. i.e. no valves, much lower part count and much greater efficiency.
Gas turbine engines and airbreathing jet engines use the Brayton Cycle.
