You need the machine open circuit saturation curve as well as the zero power factor test results to obtain the best possible answer. Once you have that you can draw the potier triangle and obtain the value analytically. Please tell this forum if you have these results and I can help you further. Because it involves graphical analysis, it would be easier to e-mail something. I can't find a way on this forum to add any form of graphics..pity
You need to divide the supply voltage by the impedance of the load. The impedance of the load is the vectorial sum of its resistance and reactance, where reactance is proportional to frequency.
Inductive reactance.
Inductive reactance does NOT have it own sign or symbol. Rather, it uses Ohms as a quantifier. But Capacitive reactance ALSO uses Ohms as a quantifier. Fortunately, 1 Ohm of Inductive reactance is cancelled by 1 Ohm of Capacitive reactance at the same frequency of measurement.
reactance relay is used for distance protection of the transmission line....
The total reactance (X) in an electrical circuit is the sum of inductive reactance (X_L) and capacitive reactance (X_C). It is expressed as ( X = X_L - X_C ), where inductive reactance is given by ( X_L = 2\pi f L ) and capacitive reactance is given by ( X_C = \frac{1}{2\pi f C} ). Here, ( f ) is the frequency of the AC signal, ( L ) is the inductance, and ( C ) is the capacitance. The total reactance determines how the circuit responds to alternating current.

The short circuit capacity of a generator can be calculated by dividing the generator's reactance by the sum of the generator's reactance and the total reactance of the system. This ratio will give you the short circuit capacity of the generator in relation to the total system capacity.
