Use a power washer to remove it.

Some people suggest a 5% bleach solution, but that is bad for the environment and your garden when it washes off.

A power washer or water blaster works OK but the moss spores need to be killed to prevent regrowth. Regular power washing also erodes the surface of the concrete making it prone to collect dirt and debris which will then promote more moss growths.

Bio-Shield works very well as an out door cleaner and is safe to use and the most cost effective at 85cents per litre. I have been using it commercially for 26 years and found it is effective in cleaning up any exterior surface that is exposed to rainfall. Once the affected surface has been cleared of lichen, moss or fungal growths just respray it at the first sign of regrowth and it will stay clean.

However, as concrete is porous, oil will penetrate deeply into the concrete and won't be able to be totally removed. Apply the degreaser and then water-blast to remove the surface contaminants. On tough spots, the undiluted degreaser could be left on overnight - covered with plastic to slow evaporation - and then water-blasted again. What to avoid when cleaning concreteIt's not a good idea to use any acid on alkaline concrete - unless it is going to be coated or painted after cleaning.
