EMF is induced in a coil when it is rotated in magnetic field. The magnetic field is obtained in the space between N Pole and S Pole of a magnet. coil is kept on shaft and it is rotated. To take out the current from the coil, two slip rings made of brass are kept on the shaft. The slip rings are insulated from each other and from the shaft. Carbon brushes are placed on the slip ring. EMF is available across these brushes. Load is connected across the brushes.
This is called single phase type alternator or AC Generator. In practice three phase type alternator is used.
In alternator, used in power stations, armature is kept stationary and field is rotated.
A rectifier turns the Alternating Current (AC) produced by the Alternator into Direct Current (DC) that your car uses.
Alternating current is better than direct current for transmission.
AC, Alternating Current.
Power lines carry electricity as alternating current.
It's alternating current
A generator produces alternating current.
Dynamo
Alternating current.
alternating current
Depends whether Direct Current or Alternating Current. Only Alternating Current produces magnetic field.
Alternating current is typically produced by generators, which convert mechanical energy into electrical energy by electromagnetic induction. These generators are commonly found in power plants, where various energy sources such as coal, natural gas, or renewable sources like wind or hydro power are used to turn the turbines.
Alternating current is produced by generators or power plants that use magnetic fields to induce voltage and generate electricity. This type of current changes direction periodically, typically in a sinusoidal waveform.
An alternating current.
Alternating current is produced by generators in power plants. These generators use mechanical energy to rotate coils of wire within a magnetic field, which induces an alternating current. The electricity is then transmitted through power lines to homes and businesses.
Alternators produce Direct Current, Generators produce Alternating Current. Todays' cars have Alternators to charge the batteries.
The current which changes it direction after every half cycle is called alternating current(A.C) or Alternating current which produced by voltage source whose polarity keeps on reversing with time. By Shahnam qadeer
An alternating current (AC) is produced when a wire cuts through magnetic field lines and experiences a change in polarity. This phenomenon is known as electromagnetic induction, where the changing magnetic field induces a current in the wire.
