On a car 50,000 to 100,000 miles.
In a house 5 -10 years.
if you mean the gasket between the thermostat housing and the hose connection bell yes you do but you should use a thermostat to keep the engine at constant operating temperature for which it was designed it will run more efficiently and last longer
My thermostat is broken.
Should last about 30 minutez
Have you rotated the gas valve knob to "run". Have you turned up the thermostat? Is the pump running? No pump water flow - no heat -- no filtration. Is the filter clean? When was the last time you cleaned the filter? Ken

about 90,000 miles
Should last at least 60-75K miles. Be sure to flush and refill the cooling system when you replace it or the new one will malfunction alot sooner.
Just changed this thermostat last night on a WRX (not sti). Just follow your lower rad hose (not very long) until you find the housing. Only two 10 MM bolts to remove.
I just replaced mine last summer. It is near the water pump, there's a pipe coming off the water pump and it curves down and has 2 bolts and it should be there. It took me a long time to find my thermostat.
the thermostat should have the long part facing down

The duration that 550 gallons of oil will last when heating a house in winter depends on factors such as the size of the house, insulation quality, outside temperature, and thermostat setting. On average, 550 gallons of oil can last anywhere from 30 days to 3 months. It is recommended to monitor oil usage and adjust thermostat settings to maximize efficiency.
You need to replace the thermostat, be sure to use the same temp as the factory thermostat.

Instantly. If someone is telling you otherwise, they're blowing smoke.
The thermostat is located behind the radiator inlet fitting in the housing behind the gasket. Removing and putting the thermostat back in should be done a last resort. This is because it may reduce how well the vehicle cools.
