bigger turbo, injectors
you can also put an HP chip in it
sorry this guy is incorrect with the chip answer Dodge has a mechanical fuel pump till 1998 so if you know a good diesel mech you can have them turn your stock pump up to get more power.
but before you do any thing get a K&N air filter and put a straight pipe on it. these two will help and you should get better fuel milage
if that's not good then injectors and a turbo
A diesel powerplant uses the diesel power cycle for energy generation. A diesel power plant is one using a diesel engine to run a generator coupled to it. A generator produces power when it rotates.
for diesel: break power=34% cooling system=30% exhaust=26% surrounding=10% for diesel: break power=34% cooling system=30% exhaust=26% surrounding=10%
They certainly are. Using them together with carburetted engines can be a bit tricky, and usually the compression has to be lowered when compared to a naturally aspirated engine.
Diesel Engine has high load factor
A diesel generator combines a diesel engine with a traditional electric generator. The benefit of the diesel generator is that it allows power to be pulled without being connected to the electricity grid. It can be a valuable tool during a power outage. The generator must be the appropriate size for your power needs, however, or the system could short out.
The power rating for the 2006 5.9L I-6 Cummins diesel engine is 325 horsepower and 610 pound foot of torque.
They have good power, but the engine is very heavy. They have good power, but the engine is very heavy.
The power rating for the 2003 model year Cummins diesel engine is 305 hp and 555 pound feet of torque. This was the 5.9L Inline-6 turbo diesel engine from Cummins.
theolder power rams were gasoline the brand new power ram is a cummins diesel
This my personal input. I have three Cummins power Dodge truck. 1991 with 340,00 miles. 1996 with 240,000 miles. 1998 24 valve with 170,000. and all are still going strong.
80 - 1000+, depending on which model of Cummins diesel engine you had in mind.
The newest 6.7L Cummins Inline-6 Diesel engine has a power rating of 350 horsepower and 650 pound feet of torque.
No, Ford has never used Cummins diesel engines in their trucks. Ford typically uses its own Power Stroke diesel engines in its Super Duty and other truck models. Cummins engines are primarily associated with Dodge Ram trucks, which have featured Cummins engines for many years. Ford's rivalry with Dodge has led to the use of their own proprietary diesel technology instead.
The 2001 Dodge Ram equipped with the high-output Cummins diesel engine produces 305 horsepower. This engine, known for its durability and performance, is a 5.9-liter inline-six turbocharged diesel. It's often paired with a heavy-duty transmission to handle the torque output, which is approximately 555 lb-ft. This combination makes it a popular choice for towing and heavy-duty applications.
The 2002 Dodge Cummins diesel engine, specifically the 5.9L inline-six turbocharged version, produces around 305 horsepower. However, the torque is a standout feature, generating approximately 555 lb-ft. This combination of power and torque makes it well-suited for heavy-duty towing and hauling tasks.
Cummins is good. Dodge is not. Cummins has always been a good engine. Dodge is lucky to have the contract with Cummins. I have 2 Dodge Cummins (an 1992 and 2006). Both have electrical problems and the transmission in my 2006 isn't great and that's with stock power and only 93,000 miles. The 12-valve Cummins is all mechanical- easy and cheap to get power out of it. The 24-valve Cummins is computerized- have to buy a programmer. The best combination would be a Cummins in a Chevy.
On the Cummins diesel it is between the power steering pump and the engine timing cover. Follow the large hose from the brake booster towards the front. The gas engines do not have a vacuum pump.On the Cummins diesel it is between the power steering pump and the engine timing cover.
