either the vert is plugged and there is no air getting through or there is no vent at all
A gurgling toilet drain often indicates a venting issue or a blockage in the plumbing system. The vent pipe allows air to enter the drainage system, helping water flow smoothly; if it's blocked, you may hear gurgling sounds as air is forced through the pipes. Alternatively, a partial blockage in the drain line can create a vacuum, leading to similar noises. It's advisable to inspect the vent and drainage for any obstructions or consult a plumber if the problem persists.
A toilet making a noise resembling a jammed vacuum cleaner when flushed could indicate a problem with the fill valve or a blockage in the plumbing. The fill valve may be malfunctioning, causing water to flow erratically, while a blockage could restrict water flow, leading to unusual sounds. Additionally, issues with the toilet’s flapper or tank components could create abnormal noises. It's advisable to inspect these parts or consult a plumber for a thorough diagnosis.
I'm no plumber, but it sounds like there may be air trapped in the lines. If you really want to know, make an appointment for a plumber to check it out.
There is slight blockage in the pipe probably further down, the pipe needs a good cleaning througout the length of the pipe, preferably with a wire/brush type cleaner, checmical cleaners or drain type cleaners may be too weak to clean it due to the length of the pipe.
It sounds like you are installing a new faucet. If that is the case read the manufacturer's instructions. If you are re-installing an older faucet, using the plumbers putty doesn't hurt.

Sounds like a clogged vent. Let's assume you're somewhere upstairs toward the upper floors. Someone flushes below you, a vacuum is created in the pipe above, pulling your shower drain trap dry (the gurgling sound). NOw you've got a trap with no water in it, allowing the sewer gas to escape through the drain (the stench). Tell them they need to clean out or unblock the vent stack on the roof.
