If it is ball bearing, it is of higher pair. since the balls in the bearing have point contact with the surface.

if it is a journal bearing, it is of lower pair. since the jounal is having surface contact with the shaft.

This question refers to the type of pairs in a mechanical joint...

What type of bearing is needed for power transmission in a rotary sieving machine?

Depending on the design, ball bearings or roller bearings (either flat or tapered) can be used to support the rotating shaft of a sieving machine. The design engineers will specify what needs to be stuffed into the machine to support the revolving shaft(s).

When a roller bearing needs to pressed onto a shaft what allowance does the shaft have?

When pressing a roller bearing onto a shaft, the shaft typically has a tolerance or allowance that is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the bearing to ensure a tight fit. This is often referred to as an interference fit, which ensures that the bearing remains securely in place during operation. The specific allowance can vary based on the bearing size and application, but it is crucial to follow manufacturer specifications to avoid damage to either the bearing or the shaft during installation.

How do you find diameter of shaft through bearing number?

To find the diameter of a shaft through a bearing number, refer to the manufacturer's bearing catalog or specification sheet. Look for the bearing's bore size, which represents the inner diameter of the bearing. The shaft diameter should match the bore size to ensure proper fit and functionality.

How do you remove a drive shaft carrier bearing on a 1985 ford f150?

to remove carrier bearing, u will need to removbe the drive shaft from the vehicle the carrier bearing is bolted to chassis with 2 bolts . these will need to be removed and the carrier and bearing will come out with the drive shaft one drive shaft is out you can then knock old bearing and carrier off of shaft with a hammer. the old carrier is no good so doesnt matter if you trash it once you get old one off, carefully known new one onto shaft until seated, being careful to note which is front of carrier bearing you can then reinstall cariier bearing and drive shaft to truck. NOTE: now is a good time to check and replace if needed the U-Joints on the drive shaft
