Your well pump should be set with the aid of a pressure switch. If it is set at
80 then it will shut off at 80 and come back on when it goes to 60. You must
have a big pump to get to 80 but that is good -- must pumps shut off at 60
and come back on at 40 i like the better pressure myself it just cost more for
a bigger pump and a bigger pressure tank
If your all on a well, you already have a Pump and a Pressure Tank. If you can't get that Pump to make 60 psi, there is something wrong with it and it will need a Serviceman to diagnose the problem. I suggest a Well Driller or Pump expert.
- The pump has no bearing at all on the water pressure. Your household pressure id determined by the residual air pressure in the tank, and the pressure switch settings. Any well technician can get any pressure you wish up to about 80 psi without touching the pump.
Anything over 80 feet is considered a deep well. A jet pump can pump up from 80 feet, more than that needs a submersible pump.
The total head will determine the psi.
factory air pressure norm is 80 psi

Well head pressure can be up to 120 psi on a large pump.
The correct operating pressure for a well water pump typically ranges from 40-60 psi. It's important to consult the manufacturer's specifications and adjust the pressure switch accordingly to ensure optimal performance of the pump.
A weak or worn-out pump or leak in the line
Depending in the hydrant suction, pump pressure should be about 80-100 psi

well most homes should have 60 to 80 psi. If you have a well and you only have a two story home then I would set the pump pressure to 60 psi, if you have city water and your pressure is above 80 , I would recommend installing a pressure reducer valve with shut offs on both sides so a person can service it in the future.
The maximum vacuum pressure in psi that can be achieved by the vacuum pump is 29.92 psi.
