The Richfield Reaper was created in 1885.
the theme of the Reaper's Image story is: you can't escape death
As far as I know, the reaper was demonstrated in tests in 1831 and was patented by McCormick in 1834.
McCormick did NOT invent the reaper. McCormick bought the patent from the man that actually invented it. I have proof to back this up. There is a news paper article and solid silver cup with the inventor's name and date the reaper was built.
A mechanical mower-reaper
Cyrus McCormick's reaper was a horse drawn machine that was used to cut down fields of hay. It saved from having to labor in the fields with a sickle. or to put it in simpler words it picked the cotton for the settlers and the settlement of the great plains

Cyrus McCormick's mother's name was Mary Ann "Polly" Hall McCormick. She was the wife of Robert McCormick, a prominent inventor and businessman who played a significant role in the development of the mechanical reaper. Mary Ann "Polly" Hall McCormick supported her husband in his work and helped raise their children, including Cyrus McCormick, who would go on to further improve and popularize the mechanical reaper.
The McCormick reaper exponentially increased the agricultural output. While this raised supply and quantity of U.S. imports, it was also detrimental to farmers because it caused a deflation of price in the crops. Furthermore, due to the fact that the reaper was quite expensive, agriculture slowly started to shift towards rich companies rather than poor, local farmers. The reaper made agriculture far more mechanized and competitive.

The poem "Solitary Reaper" by William Wordsworth conveys the theme of the beauty and emotive power of nature and music. The poem emphasizes the transformative quality of the reaper's song on the speaker, leaving a lasting impact on him as he reflects on the solitary reaper's song even after he has moved on. The poem highlights the universal connection that music and nature can create, transcending language and cultural barriers.
The mechanical reaper mechanized the harvest of grain products making it possible for a single person to harvest acres of grain as opposed to a large labor force.
Cyrus McCormick was very important to American history, He invented a machine called the harvesting (mechanical) reaper in 1831. It made harvesting wheat easier and faster, making wheat industry soar.
The inventions of Deere's steel plow and McCormick's reaper encouraged the settlement of the western plains by making agriculture more efficient. It also helped in the sustenance of people who live in the western plains.
