Process engineering focuses on the design, operation and maintenance of chemical and material manufacturing processes. Process engineering also involves developing new processes, project engineering and troubleshooting. Production engineering focuses more on making production more efficient, the social science of manufacturing, eliminating wasted time, money and production as well as materials. Production is more geared towards the people, process, and finished product. Whereas the process involves more of how you get there, what process takes, and not so much the finished product.
Answer My job title is a Project Engineer. That means that I have the training to take a project and work it from initial start until the finish with little supervision. Production Engineer is concerned about how a part is produced. He will be involved in the production line and the steps necessary to make the finished product.
The product is something tangible that you get after going through a process. After doing some systems analysis work, the analyst will write a report. Doing the analysis is a process and the report is a product of that phase. Each product can be used as part of carrying out the next process. The analyst's report could be used as part of the design process. The resulting design, which is a product, is then used in writing the programs, which is another process. Thus there is no product that is not formed through a process.
mechanical engineering exposes on theory with pracicals on widear area whereas mechanical engineering with production engineering reduces its wide area of mechanical engineering but gives good exposure on making mechanical components in industries such as automobile parts, etc.
I feel that mechanical engineering is general mechanical engineering where as mechanical engineering with production engineering is a specilised mechanical engineering
Manufacturing engineering is the work done to determine the method of manufacturing and Production engineering is how to actually accomplish that method of manufacturing.
No difference. Factory Automation is in larger context, where as process automation is slightly specific context.

Manufacturing account, on the other hand, is a financial statement which shows production costs
dont pick any of them...pick automotive engineering it is purely about vechiles ..cheers mate!
A Plant Manager is in charge of production, materials, purchasing, Human Resources, Engineering, Quality, etc, etc, a Production Manager is in charge of Production only, and reports to the Plant Manager.

Group Technology is manufacturing philosophy which similar parts are identified and group together to take advantage of their similarities in design and production. But, Cellular Manufacturing is organizing the production equipment into machine cells, where each cell specializes in the production of a part family. On the other word, cellular manufacturing is an application of GT in which dissimilar machines or processes have been aggregated into cells, each of which dedicated to the production of a part, product family, or limited group of families. According to the GROOVER book "automation and production systems, and computer-integrated manufacturing"
