No, gypsum does not corrode stainless steel.
Type C gypsum board meets and exeeds the fire resistance requirements of a type x board. It has mineral additives in the gypsum core that expands when exposed to heat. This expansion holds the board together longer during fire exposure. It is referred to by the Gypsum Association as "Improved Type X" board.
Using North American standards, when terminal X1 is diagonally opposite terminal H1, the transformer is additive.

Gypsum
We are a company that produces an additive capable to mix in perfec combination gypsum and cement in a proportion of (75% gypsum/25%cement) for the construction industry, producing a rendering mortar whith better qualities than any good mortar in the market (degradationb free, mildew free, corrosion free) as the additive carries a component to avoid all these pathologies. Question: when mixing gypsum and cement, is it convenient to raise the ph of the gypsum with another component to improve strenth and its lifetime? We would be glad to get an answer to: j.anru@emechinternational.com
Gypsum board is mainly used for walls and ceilings and is known as drywall. Gypsum blocks are used similar to cement blocks in construction projects.
The mineral gypsum could be used to produce plaster and joint compounds, spackling, drywall, some floor and wall underlayments, as well as an additive in some paints, caulking, and grouts.
This boardis similar in composition to Type X drywall, except that it has more glass fibers, and, it has another ingredient in the gypsum core. This ingredient is a shrinkage-compensating additive, a form of vermiculite. When exposed to high heat, the gypsum core shrinks but the shrinkage-compensating element expands at about the same rate as shrinkage occurs in the waterdepleted gypsum. The gypsum core then is more stable in a fire and remains in place even after the combined water in the gypsum has been driven off.
No, gypsum has a natural fire resistance due to the combined molecules of water which it contains. National Gypsum has never used asbestos in its wallboard products. However, it did at one time use asbestos in some of its sprayed-on fire proofing products. That ingredient was removed from their formulation several decades ago.
Calcium sulfate, CaSO4, is a naturally occurring calcium salt. It is commonly known in its dihydrate form, CaSO4∙2H2O, a white or colourless powder called gypsum. As uncalcined gypsum, the sulfate is employed as a soil corrector. Calcined gypsum is used in making tile, wallboard, lath, and various plasters.
No, gypsum is not metallic.

Gypsum is found sea.
Many individuals don’t realise how frequently they use gypsum. The mineral is composed of calcium sulphate, a chemical having a wide range of applications. The use of it as an additive in foods including ice cream, blue cheese, flour, and white bread has been authorised by the federal Food and Drug Administration. Additionally, gypsum can be found in toothpaste, prescription medications, cosmetics, and orthopaedic casts. Gypsum is a natural fertiliser that gardeners add to soil to improve its workability and moisture-retentiveness. Another advantageous characteristic is a decrease in the soil’s alkalinity’s corrosiveness. Gypsum has a variety of uses, but if not handled properly, it can be hazardous…Read More
