First of all, WAN is an acronym for Wider Area Network. A good example of a WAN is the internet. The basic components of a WAN would be routers, satellites, ISP mainframes, transmission media (Fiber Optics backbones, Power lines, network cables etc....i suppose satellites would also be classed as a transmission media). The most essential of an WAN Component can be Modems / Routers / Router abd Firewalls.

Basic componets of a plc are: power supply, CPU(central prossesing unit), I/O CARDS ( INPUT/OUTPUT CARDS)
The Internet is a WAN. It "INTERconnects NETworks" over the widest area possible, the Earth.
A motherboard is the physical arrangement in a computer that contains computers basic circuitry and components.

The basic components of a Wide Area Network (WAN) include routers, switches, and transmission media. Routers connect different networks and manage data traffic between them, while switches direct data packets within a local area. Transmission media, such as fiber optics, satellite, or wireless links, facilitate long-distance data communication. Together, these components enable efficient data exchange across vast geographic areas.
Are they located in the same building? If the geographical difference between locations are vast, then a WAN setup is in order. The basic components of a WAN would be routers, satellites, ISP mainframes, transmission media (Fiber Optics backbones, Power lines, network cables etc). The main component of a WAN is definitley a router though.

Tears have the same basic chemical components as sweat.
WAN optimization is used for increasing data transfer across wide-area networks. There are three interdependent components used to optimize WAN bandwidth. They are Traffic Management, Caching and Compression.
