A capacitor-start system will limit the current drawn by an induction machine by correcting the devices poor power factor during the start up. This limits the current needed to start the device without using any real power. A resistance-start system will limit the starting current by drawing current unto the resistor instead of the induction machine. The real power used by the resistor is turned into heat and lost. A capacitive-start system will use no real power and will not create excess heat, it will be more expensive to initially purchase.
You can block AC current by using a filter with a pass-band that is outside the frequency of the AC current.
When using the Op-amp we get constant current generation of the linear sweep voltage.
Yes up to certain rating and application a motor can be started on DOL. Beyond a rating different methods need to be used to limit the starting current.

Yes the US calandar will continue. The Mayan calandar will start over though. We will not.
2013 our calandar will keep going on the mayans calandar will end so they might start over but we will not.
If you mean the calandar that contains January February etc, it is the Gregorian Calandar, named after Pope Gregory XIII.
Normaly with a advent calandar
It was reform of the Julian calendar.
It isn't. This myth originated from the fact that one of the calandars of the pre-columbian South American civilisations (the Maya, I believe), 'runs out' in 2012. It doesn't actually 'run out' of course, it just gets to the end of its current run of numbers. In the same way you might say our calandar will 'run out' after 31 December 9999. Is the world going to end after that day, because we can't count any higher using 4 digits? Of course not. The year 9999 wil be followed by 10,000. In the same way that our calandar could simply 'add' another digit, to make the next day 1 January 10,000, the Mayan calandar could likewise 'add' an order of magnitude. Except of course, no-one uses that calandar any more. It would be interesting to know if our calendar will still be used 8000 years from now.

The 13th sign is "Ophiuchi". Nothing special about it, it just got dropped when people went from a 13 Moonth calandar to a 12 month calandar about 2000 years ago (blame the Romans).
From very precise calculations of vernal equinoxes.
I found a calandar on wiki for what will be played on what day, link is below.
Calandar The calendar was made by the Aztec's. Sincerely, iblog
The fifth century A.D (or C.E.) is from the years 401 to 500 on the Gregorian calandar.
