Centrifugal pumps aren’t ideal for pressure transmission because they’re designed to move large volumes of fluid at low pressure. If you try to use them where high pressure is needed, they just won’t perform well. For applications where air needs to be moved at low pressure and high flow, Centrifugal Blowers are a better fit they're basically the air version of centrifugal pumps.

You should just let the system take the refrigerant out of the can by itself. It is not good to force liquid r134a into the low pressure side of the ac. The suction of the compressor will draw the r134 out by itself and stabilize the system as it goes, it may just take longer than you want.
