The word spaz is a shortened version of the word spastic. Originally used as a euphemism for cerebral palsy, in the UK it is an offensive word. Given that several US comedians and musical groups have used the word to denote clumsy, it is not as offensive to US users.

Be aware that a medical condition such as cerebral palsy or Tourette's syndrome is an involuntary disorder, using the word "spaz" would seem to be a distasteful way of insulting another person and could be construed as cyberbullying.

In most countries, referring to somebody as a "spaz" is extremely offensive, particularly to disabled people.

In the United Kingdom you could face criminal prosecution under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, Disability Discrimination Act 2005 and Disability And Equality Act 2010.
