The order of hardness goes:9H 8H 7H 6H 5H 4H 3H 2H H F HB B 2B 3B 4B 5B 6B 7B 8B 9B hard medium soft
If you mean what HB stands for, it's an indicator for the hardness (H) or softness (B) of the graphite and clay used. However, the B is for blackness so HB is like average/medium grade so the full form would be Hard Black, Hard and Black, or Hard Blackness. If you check out pencils like 3H, you'll notice that the tone when writing or drawing is light compared to an HB. Conversely, a 3B pencil will give you a darker tone.
the mechanical pencil will write better because it has a skinnier lead, so the pencil doesn't go flat if you write too much on one side. the lead also still graphite, but has special substances in it to help you write better. Still, if your pencil is certified HB#2, it can be used on Scantron Genuine Forms and State tests.
What is fullform of hfs
i think you mean HB, Many pencils across the world, and almost all in Europe, are graded on the European system using a continuum from "H" (for hardness) to "B" (for blackness), as well as "F" (for fine point). The standard writing pencil is graded HB. According to Petroski, this system might have been developed in the early 1900s by Brookman, an English pencil maker. It used "B" for black and "H" for hard; a pencil's grade was described by a sequence or successive Hs or Bs such as BB and BBBfor successively softer leads, and HH and HHH for successively harder ones. As of 2009, a set of pencils ranging from a very hard, light-marking pencil to a very soft, black-marking pencil usually ranges from hardest to softest as follows.
yes
An HB pencil is just a No. 2 Pencil HB stands for Hard Black
I don't quite understand what you mean by HB-2 pencil but if you mean HB pencil / #2 Pencil it is not the softest pencil. Pencils scale from 9H to 9B, (HB in the middle) and 9B would the softest and darkest pencil there.
Hard Black pencil.

HB 2 pencil has a slightly softer lead than a regular HB pencil, which gives it darker markings. The "2" in HB 2 stands for the American grading system, while the regular HB is based on the European grading system. Both are commonly used for general writing and drawing.

Um....The answer which it is.
No on a pencil stands for Number. It is a measure of hardness, similar to the HB scale.
A No.2 pencil, but HB is softer and is used to create dark lines when drawing.
Pencils are made in various lengths. My HB pencil measures 7 inches.
HB PencilsArtists and draftsmen can use a variety of pencil leads in different hardnesses (e.g. H1, H2) and colors.H=hard and B=black pencils are graded on how hard (therefore lighter line) or soft (therefore blacker line) they are an HB pencil is mid range between the 8H and the 8B.
