∙ 14y agoA 2B pencil is harder than an HB pencil, which means you will get a lighter line from it, and that it will hold it's point longer. This makes a 2B pecil good for fine detail and/or working in areas of your drawing that are of a middle value.

I don't quite understand what you mean by HB-2 pencil but if you mean HB pencil / #2 Pencil it is not the softest pencil. Pencils scale from 9H to 9B, (HB in the middle) and 9B would the softest and darkest pencil there.
