== == == == WELCOME Ms. O'Dwyer's Gr. 10 English Class
Thanks for logging on and completing your homework (internet assignment)
Our Grade 10 class looked at this poem today, and we found the question confusing--so we are hijacking this site a bit by interpreting the question as best that we can. Put simply, I have asked my students to log on and create a poetry response about what they "think this poem or Tom Wayman is telling us, or how it makes us feel...". **GRADE 10's, since you were so quiet in our discussion, now let's hear what you have to say, remember, you're being evaluated! Good luck! PS. I had enough to say in class, so I won't post my own ideas until I see yours. Ms. O'Dwyer In the poem "Did I miss anything" I think that the speaker is saying that he is/was a teacher and his students were rarley showing up for class and weren't working, so he desides to trick them into working and showing up for class by using sarcasm. "None of this content has value or meaning take as many days off as you would like". Also I think that the speaker is saying if you miss class and care about school you are missing everything but if you dont care you are missing nothing. Frazer Norton
Mis jou meer as enigiets
It never says anything about it in a tale of two cities. Sorry.
Sure. No. Near would mean close but not quite touching, and miss also means nearly hitting, or not hitting what you where trying to, but either way you look at it, the words are not opposites, which is required to be an oxymoron, such as awfully good, or military intelligence... Near miss might be best described as a redundancy, in keeping with Answer B, and the old saw: A miss is as good as a mile. Presidential Oversight... Is this an oxymoron? Tricky, given that 'oversight' is really a Janus word, a word which also means its opposite. I love military intelligence-- this could become a very entertaining stream...

i think he is mocking students... i have the same question for my college assign.
It seems like you're looking for a poem titled "Did I miss anything." This poem by Tom Wayman humorously depicts a teacher's response to a student's question about missing a class. The teacher lists all the mundane and significant events that happened during the student's absence, showing the importance of being present in the moment.
Actually someone must miss anything.. Like myself, I miss my mother..
Miss Brill is an English teacher living near the Public Gardens in a French town in the short story entitled Miss Brill by Katherine Mansfield.
Miss Piggy was not modeled after a specific person. The creator described her as a truck driver who wanted to be a woman.
Miss Pross in A Tale of Two Cities can be best described as a no-nonsense governess and friend.
After Miss Emily's death, her house was described as a decaying eyesore among a changing neighborhood. It was said to be unkept, with layers of dust and neglect visible on its exterior. Inside, the house was filled with memories and remnants of Miss Emily's reclusive life.
Protoplast Fusion
yes the poem does. a hyberbole is extreme exaduration for the purpose of effect and throughout the poem the author exadurates the days lesson(an angel did not decend in the class room that day) hope this helps
Being dead he doesn't miss anything.
You can miss with anything that fires a projectile. What are you really asking?
Miss doesn't stand for anything, it is not an abbreviation, but the title for an unmarried woman.
