The novel Old Yeller and its associated characters- such as Travis, have absolutely nothing to do with the (sport) of Bullfighting as is practiced in Spain and other Spanish-Speaking countries. It is a Western novel.

What are the important events in old yeller?

Old Yeller is a canine tragedy novel. It is basically about a dog- the name belongs to the dog and is sort of Southern Dialect for Yellow- not someone who makes a lot of noise- as many think- I always thought Old Yeller implied - something like Loudmouth or Hollering Henry! The story takes place in the Horse age West= and has no connection anyhow with Science Fiction.

Is the novel Old Yeller a movie?

Yes, it is.

What is the chapter by chapter summary of Old Yeller?

Sure! "Old Yeller" is a classic novel by Fred Gipson that tells the story of a boy named Travis and his bond with a dog named Old Yeller in Texas during the 1860s. Throughout the book, Travis and Old Yeller face various adventures and challenges, including protecting the family from wild animals and bandits. The story ultimately culminates in a tragic event that tests Travis's strength and resilience.

What chapter is the bull fight in in Old Yeller?

Songstress Ronnie Spector has NO connection whatsoever with the novel- as you stated (Old Yeller) term refers to a Dog, and his color scheme, not habit of excessive barking as I thought. the novel is not remotely about Bull Fighting. It does deal with an animal sacrifice, though, the Lead adult character ( Father or Uncle) shoots Old Yeller after the animal becomes rabid following, I believe, a snake bite. The sudden-death killing off of a Lead animal character is probably unique in Disney films and it was not liked by all.

What is the conflict about in the book Old Yeller?

The issue of human needs versus animal needs(the term animal rights was not yet coined) and the animal-sacrifice theme where the lead adult character shoots the Title character who has become rabid or infected with snake-bite. I never read the book but am familiar with reviews. It was one of the few live-action Disney films to have an unambiguous tragic ending- as opposed to one where say an animal ran off but could conceivably have been adopted by someone, this was final, shotgun death blast! The animal=sacrifice theme loosely pushed the outer perimeter of science fiction, such topics as , perhaps euthanasia, but has been used in some novels and also factual accounts such as the mis-titled (Ice pan) or Adventure on the Ice Pan, by Sir Wilfred Grenfell, the Labrador missionary. It"s based on fact, but if a novel, one might say a blend of Old Yeller and Jack London"s tales, as the location is the wiolds of the sub-arctic.
