I also was curious if "skatepark" was one word or not. My computer immediately informs me (with the infamous ugly red underline) that it is NOT a word. When I right click to see what information my computer has to offer me, it suggest making "skatepark" into two separate words. However, a simple Google search of the question, "Is skatepark one word?" brings up Wikipedia as the first source of evidence which may suggest an alternative belief to what my computer informs me to be grammatical truth. Wikipedia has an entire page dedicated to what a "skatepark" is. Check the link under the related links section for the page.

Long story short, I am still not sure, but "skatepark" as one word feels correct to me, despite my computer telling me otherwise.
