The word 'unloved' is an adjective, a word that describes a noun. I can't find a dictionary that gives 'unloved' credit as a noun, but can I see it as a noun, for example:

The unloved need to reach out with love toward others and love will flow back.

The Humane Society specializes in helping the unloved and unwanted.
