He shows that he is rude, arrogant, and he CONSTANTLY needs advice from his council. You could say that he is trapped in a role greater than his ability. But he is very devoted to his brother Menelaus. He is very flawed and he succumbs to his own desires before those of his soldiers. He is a very stubborn man who can sometimes be immature and a coward.
