It is difficult to answer that question without knowing the context. It could be any word category in any language!

I can tell you that in MY language "danske" means "Danish"

I am from a small country called Denmark which is in Scandinavia, Northern Europe - right between Germany, Sweden, and Norway.

In English, our language is called Danish - in our language called "dansk", but if something can be said to BE Danish, we call it "danske"

Example:

The Danish vikings were fearless

=

De danske vikinger var frygtløse
