There is no abstract noun form for the concrete noun 'fins', a word for the physical appendages of a fish or parts of a piece of machinery or device.

An abstract noun could be "swimming."

The noun form of the verb to mask is the gerund, masking.

The noun 'masking' is a concrete noun as a word for a thing concealing the existence of something by obstructing the view of it; the blocking of one physical sensation resulting from the presence of another sensation.

However, the noun 'masking' can be used in an abstract context as a word for behavior that hides a real personality or motive.

Example: Masking his jealousy will eventually wear thin and his true feelings will be exposed.
