There are many settings; the school, Andy's home, the Museum, and my favorite is at the Children's Gallery. (that's technically part of the museum, but...)
There are many different settings... each book has a different setting(for the most part.) This is because the characters' guardians keep having bad things happen to them therefore they move from place to place to be taken care of.

In cases like Ethan Frome or The Awakening, the setting plays an integral part in portraying the theme of the novelette. The themes of other books however, like The Scarlet Letter or To Kill a Mockingbird, don't really depend on the setting. You know the setting will play a vital role if it sets a tone that drastically affects the book or the character.
