Scherazade kept telling the sultan a new story every day. Every tale kept her from being killed. Then Scherazade met a genie and he said she could have 3 wishes. She wished the sultan was free from the evil spell that made him cruel. The spell was lifted and they got married.
This comes from Scheherezade who was the heroine of the old Persian story "1001 Nights", which was later modified by Arab authors into the now familiar form, and compiled with other Arabized tales of Persian origin. The Shah, Shaharyar (the Great King, or the Noble King depending on the source of his name and interpretation), having been driven to hate women due to his first wife's unfaithfulness, would take a new wife every night but would have her killed in the morning. So Scheherezade decided that when she was picked, she would tell a story that would so enchant the King that he would allow her to live and continue the following night and this she did so forr 1001 nights until the King allowed her to live. The adjective Scheherzadian is used to describe something that is like an endless night of pleasure and leaves you wanting more.
Searching five or six online companies yielded nothing. The IMDb lists only two pieces for the soundtrack: "Love Theme" which it says was written by Michael Masser, so I suppose that Newman wrote the music. The other piece listed is "Scheherezade," by Rimsky-Korsakov, which we know Newman didn't write. He does have a Facebook page, and is listed as Thomas Montgomery Newman. He might respond to a query there.

A love potion is a mythical bit of wishful thinking: a magic drink that causes someone to fall in love, usually with the first person of the opposite sex they see after having the drink. It's been used as a plot device in folklore and storytelling for centuries, going all the way back to Scheherezade and the original Arabian Nights. These days, it can be found as a plot device in everything from magic- and fantasy-based sitcoms such as Wizards of Waverly Place to novels including the Harry Potter book series. The closest we can come to such a thing in real life is the illegal, and very scary, collection of chemicals known collectively as date rape drugs. These work by altering the perception of the target, causing symptoms such as lowered inhibitions, blackouts and memory loss. And as the name implies, they have nothing to do with love and everything to do with satisfying one's sexual urges without the other person's consent.
