Sensory detail is when you use the 5 senses; (touch, taste, sight, smell, sound) in your writing to make something more realistic and descriptive. It gives the reader more of an understanding of what is going on and what a character is going through.

Learning to spell " sentences " might help you in your writing and to have a story you must have sentences with a main idea and topic. Just stringing words together means nothing. This is really true in descriptive writing when you want to describe a person or place. The words have to describe that person or item and make sense in the context of the story.
