Treats are a training tool so when you walk up to your horse and he does not run away you give them a treat . Walk up to your horses shoulder do not look him in the eye that means go away then put you arm around his neck like a rope if you have a lead rope around put it around his neck and kiss or smooch to him if he still does not go then give the rope a little tug and he may follow you. You can also do this with your hands and arms. Your horse usually trusted you if he follows you. I would also recommend watching teaching movies. One I would really recommend is a Movie called JOIN UP by Monty Roberts.
Soft rope.
Use a soft rope so you don't hurt it.
well its not really an answer, but its a question... is a shrit a shirt?
That depends on what "loose" means... If it is loose in the pasture just take the halter and walk up to the horse or let them walk up to you and put on the halter...
yes horse are very hard to catch depending on attitude. some horse just stand still some bite and kick good luch. Some other ways to catch a horse are if you get a bucket of oats, grain and treats. when you have your halter, hid it behind your back so that he can't see it. Call the horse and shake that grain bucket. once he comes, let him sniff the grain, and the slip the lead rope around his neck so he can't run away, then put the halter on. Don't give him a treat until after, so he knows once he has the halter on he gets rewards, not before. Be quiet and gentle. Also try some trust activities, it worked wonders when my horse wouldn't catch. Remember never to let your horse get away with it. :)
The best way is to find by using the footprints of a horse shoes. If you can't find, you have to inform to the police station. Your horse will disturb some people if it run alone.
halter traing is ground work, and teaching a young horse to lead on a halter.
If you have nothing to catch him with and just need to lead him somewhere, grab a chunk of mane behind his ears where the halter normally sits and put gentle pressure on it. If he is well halter trained he should think he's wearing a halter and you should be able to lead him around. If you have a rope, loop it around his neck where the halter sits, again he'll think he's wearing a halter. This is only good for leading him around, obviously you can't tie him with either method.
No, you should not. The horse can get caught of something in the pasture or pen, and also if the halter is too tight it can rub bare spots on the horses face, and if left on too long and too tight it the skin can start to grow over the halter. If the horse is hard too catch, you need to practice catching the horse so it wouldn't be a problem, however the halter should not be kept on the horse loose on pasture.
For howrse, it is false. (I would know, I just took that quiz and got 8 out of 8!) It's not good because the howrse could get hooked on something, and other horses can grab it and yank it to bully the horse. Some people do leave the halter on though, because they believe that if there were a fire or something, they could easily catch them. That's probably not right though, because if there were a fire in the pasture, I'm sure the horse would be smart enough to get out of there without being caught. Also, if the pasture is big, the horse could easily run. Just use a rope to catch your horse and then put the halter on.
None of those, you simply go behind the horse when she stops and press A then hold on with the numchuck and down below on the tv it should show you
The most famous Quarterhorse halter horse is probably "Impressive"
