A bridle with no bit is called a what?

A bit is the part of the bridle that gets put in the horse's mouth. It is usually metal. It's used for control. The reigns are connected to it. A bridle without a bit is built differently to put pressure on different pars of the horse's head to give the rider control with the reigns. Though many riders use bitless bridles for many many reasons, I like them because when my horse and I go on trail rides, we can stop and take a break and I can let my horse eat grass without the hassle of changing from bridle to halter.

When putting on a bridle can you put the bit into the horses mouth while they are yawning?

Yes you can! My mare yawns all the time when she sees the bridle coming. Its as if she is pretending to be tired. As long as you have the tongue under the bit and the horse accepts it safely it is OK to be put on.

How do you put the bridle on toothless?

To put a bridle on Toothless, start by gently approaching him to ensure he is calm. Hold the bridle with one hand, positioning the crown piece above his ears while you use your other hand to guide the bit toward his mouth. Once the bit is in, pull the bridle over his ears and adjust the straps for a snug fit, ensuring it's comfortable and secure. Always reward him with a treat or praise to make the process positive.

What is a western halter?

I have never heard of a western halter, and I ride western, so I guess you mean bridle. First of all, the dif in a halter and a bridle is a bridle is usually used to ride and a halter is generally used for groundwork and leading it from place to place. Although, you can use a bridle for leading and such, and I often ride in a halter. A western bridle is just a bridle used to ride western. They generally don't have a nose band like English bridles, and sometime they will have split ear headstalls. The bit can be many dif things. Their are shank bits which should only be used with well-trained horses, and then they have snaffle bits, which are also used for English. English also use shanks, but they look dif and are normally used in dressage. Other western bridles are the bosal and the hackamore, which are bit-less bridles. the bosal is more like a halter. It has a large nose band and the reins attach right under the horses nose. and a hackamore is more like a normall bridle, as in it has the shank part of a shank bit, but has nothing that goes in the mouth. The reins attach on the end of the shanks on each side of the bridle and when pulled back the nose band pushes down on the horses nose more than a bosal would. Hope this wasnt too confusing :)
