The person who answered before me, has said the strongest horse bit in the world is a gag, however i don't agree, and would say it is either a Pelham or a Kimberwick. I used to have a very strong pony, she was in a Waterfood before I put her in a Kimblewick, this is a very strong bit with a curb chain, although I didn't want to have her in this strong bit, if she actually didn't need to, so i swapped to a rubber Pelham and she was still too strong, this is very strange, but does, happen, so I would probably (only in my opinion though) say that the Kimberwick, is to me, although I have come across some very strong bits, including Western ones, which are good too but also very harsh. I do go on a bit, but I hope this helps :)
Seperate person here, actually i used to have a kimblewick and they're not actually very strong at all until you jag and pull :)
The title of the strongest horse in the world is subjective and can vary depending on the criteria used for measuring strength. However, certain breeds like Clydesdales, Shires, and Percherons are known for their impressive size and pulling power, making them some of the strongest horse breeds.
A Tom Thumb is a fairly strong/severe bit and not one that should be used on a green horse or by a green rider. However, there are many other bits that are much stronger/severe, even dangerous to the horse. These bits range from twisted bits, to bicycle chain bits and beyond. Cathedral port curb bits are also very strong, however, in the right hands they do no harm to the horse. It really is much more about the rider than the bit. That being said, there is no substitution for good training, no matter the severity of the bit being used.
