Sorry to tell you but it's another throw-away item. Most people reckon that when the belt is worn out so is the tensioner. Don't worry, the labour content required to replace the cam belt is so high that you won't notice the additional cost for the tensioner. You should also think about the water pump while the engine front end is exposed (especially if your vehicle has suffered from any overheating; the pump seal hardens and starts to weep but the pulley flings the coolant out so you can't see any signs of the leak). Keeping these autos beyond the warranty period is a high risk mission.
