Do the dash lights come on now that you have put in a new fuse...Does the motor rotate or try to turn over....If not, it sounds like you have a bad ignition switch....
its a Volvo
To repair dash lights on a 2003 Volvo S80, start by checking the fuse associated with the dashboard lights in the fuse box; replace it if it’s blown. If the fuse is intact, inspect the dimmer switch for proper function, as it may be malfunctioning. If the issue persists, consider removing the instrument cluster to check for damaged bulbs or connections. If you're uncomfortable with these steps, consulting a professional mechanic is recommended.
you have a short in the wires for your dash and lights So what do I do to fix it?
Just a suggestion, check your trailer lights harness for corrosion. They were taking the dash lights down in my chevy.

it is located under the steering wheel column. unscrew the cover under the dash and it should be there. that's where it is on my Volvo s80
