Disable automatic door locks

According to the owners manuel(1997 XLT) it can be DISABLED by:

- Entering your permanent five digit entry code (not the user code you may have set). - Within five seconds, press and hold 7/8 - Within five more seconds, press and release 3/4 - Release 7/8. To reactivate the system repeat the sequence.

If you are not sure of your permanent 5 digit code here's where to find it.

• • Note Your permanent 5 digit code is located in the jack storage area in the rear of the vehicle. When you remove the panel to your jack look to the very front part almost to the rear seat. You will see a metal box..this is your module for your automatic locking system. Your permanent 5 digit code is located on the backside of this box in large lettering. It is hard to get to, but by loosening, pulling, and even using a mirror and flashlight..it can be done. You can then reset your code to your liking.
