Yes, on a Peugeot 307, you typically need to remove the drive shaft to access the starter motor. This is because the starter is located in a position that makes it difficult to reach without moving the drive shaft out of the way. It's important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the specific model and engine type to ensure a proper and safe installation.
The drive belt on a Peugeot 206 should be change in 80,000 miles. Failure to change drive belts at the appropriate time can result in expensive engine failure.

To change the alternator on a Peugeot 306 XSi, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner, then unbolt the alternator from its mounting bracket. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the alternator from the engine bay. Install the new alternator by reversing the process, ensuring all connections are secure and the drive belt is properly tensioned before reconnecting the battery.
The tension of a drive belt on a Peugeot Partner Diesel Van can be determined by using a tension gauge, which can be used to measure and adjust the beltÃ?s tension. To replace the belt, open the hood, remove the screws to the air filter cover, and then remove the filter. Next you will need to remove the engine cover and begin to remove the starter. You will need to have the vehicle raised to gain access to the belt and may need to remove other parts to get a clear reach.
You will need to loosen the motor mount on the side of the starter to jack up the motor slightly to remove the starter after removing the bolts that hold the starter on to the engine. Remove all wires from starter also.
To change the oil seals where the drive shafts enter the gearbox on a Peugeot 306, start by safely lifting and supporting the vehicle. Remove the drive shafts by first disconnecting them from the hubs and then pulling them out of the gearbox. Use a seal puller to carefully remove the old oil seals from the gearbox, and then clean the area before installing new seals. Finally, reinsert the drive shafts, ensuring they are securely fastened, and check for leaks after refilling the gearbox with oil.
To change the alternator on a Peugeot 106, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner, then disconnect the electrical connectors and bolts securing the alternator. Replace the old alternator with the new one, reconnect the electrical components, and reattach the drive belt. Finally, reconnect the battery terminal and start the engine to ensure proper functioning.
At the end of the starter motor shaft. Remove the starter and look in the opening that faced the transmission and you will see the gear.
To change the starter on a 1993 Ford Aerostar with a 4.0 V6 and electronic 4-wheel drive, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Then, remove the starter's electrical connections and the two mounting bolts securing the starter to the engine block. After the starter is free, replace it with the new unit, reattach the bolts, reconnect the electrical connections, and finally reconnect the battery cable. Make sure to test the new starter before reassembling any other components.
Drop the dust cover. Drop the drive line take bolts out and there ya have it! It is difficult to remove the starter on a Blazer. Disconnect battery (negative), disconnect 2 wires on starter, remove 2 bolts - it drops down but you must still remove a cross member to remove it from the car
To change the starter on a 2002 Jeep Liberty with a 3.7-liter engine, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the starter's electrical connections, then unbolt the starter from its mounting bracket, typically secured by two or three bolts. Carefully remove the old starter and replace it with the new one, reattaching the bolts and electrical connections before reconnecting the battery cable. Finally, ensure everything is tight and secure before starting the vehicle.
This is how I did it. Disconnect the battery negative terminal. I removed the right drive shaft. This made it possible to reach the starter from under the vehicle. Then I removed the brace that bolts to the block and intake manifold. Then remove the electrical connections on the starter, one with a 12mm wrench from under the car, the other is a plug you can reach from the top (if your arm is skinny enough!). Then remove the starter top bolt from above. It threads into the starter from the transmission side. Then, from under the car, remove the starter bottom bolt. The starter can then be removed from under the car. As many a repair manual has advised: "Assemble in reverse order of removal." Good luck!
