The EPC (Electronic Power Control) light indicates a potential issue with the engine management system, often related to the throttle system, sensors, or wiring. When this light is on, it can prevent the car from starting as a safety measure to protect the engine. Common causes include a malfunctioning throttle body, issues with the accelerator pedal position sensor, or other electronic faults. It's advisable to have the vehicle diagnosed with a scan tool to identify the specific issue.
why my epc lights turned on my car GOLF 5 GTI? why my epc lights turned on my car GOLF 5 GTI?
The EPC light comes on when there is an issue with the electronic power control or drive by wire. The only way to know what is causing it to come on is to have it connected to a code reader. Many auto part stores will pull the codes for free.
The EPC light came on today on a 2001 Seat Ibiza, along with the car's lock suddenly locking. After 3 or 4 efforts, we figured that the problem was solved unlocking the car using the key while the engine was on (the electronics on the car always blocked when the EPC came on). After that the EPC light switched off. I hope you can solve the problem this way.
The crankshaft positon sensor is wrong. I replaced it on my 2001 A4 fixed the problem.
The EPC light means something is wrong in the drive-by-wire path, the "gas pedal" potentiometers or the electric motor-controlled throttle body, etc.
car wont start cant jump start AT Check light comes on
no because it could blind someones eyes and could crash cars
EPC means Electronic Pedal Control. Volkswagen uses an electronic system, not just a cable running from the gas pedal to the throttle, to control engine speed. It would make implementing cruise control REAL easy, if nothing else. If you have an EPC light on...that's the car's Check Engine light.
my car doing the same thing
The EPC light on a SEAT vehicle stands for "Electronic Power Control" and indicates an issue with the engine management system. It can signal problems with components such as the throttle, fuel system, or sensors. When the EPC light illuminates, it’s advisable to have the vehicle diagnosed by a professional, as it may affect the car's performance and safety. Ignoring the light could lead to more significant issues down the road.
