If your van is equipped with heated mirrors, the same switch that turns on the rear window defroster turns them on.If your van is equipped with heated mirrors, the same switch that turns on the rear window defroster turns them on.
maybe the switch is broken or the fuse/relay has gone??

if the switch lights up then check to see if the metal connectors and strips on the rear window are ok if they are then i would say the rear screen relay is broken.

The rear heated window relay switch for a Peugeot 406 is typically located in the fuse box. In most models, the fuse box can be found under the dashboard on the driver's side or in the engine compartment. You may need to consult the owner's manual for the exact location and diagram to identify the specific relay for the heated rear window.

In the Rover 25, the heated rear window is typically protected by fuse number 1 in the fuse box located in the driver's side dashboard. However, it's always a good idea to consult the vehicle's owner's manual for the precise location and specifications, as fuse arrangements can vary by model year. If the heated rear window isn't functioning, checking this fuse is a good first step in troubleshooting the issue.
