I own a 2004 Mini Cooper. If I depress the "unlock" button on the key fob, it unlocks the car. If I hold it for a longer period of time that it takes to just unlock the doors, the windows and sunroof open, too.
Because the feature is messed up and you must take it to the dealer and get it fixed.
By driving with the key fob in the ignition.
When you press the key fob twice (once short, then one long) the doors and windows unlock and the sunroof and windows roll down. You held unlock too long.
To open the windows from the outside of a Mercedes-Benz C240, you can use the remote key fob. Press and hold the unlock button on the key fob, and the windows should start to roll down. This feature is known as the "convenience open" function on some Mercedes-Benz models.
try this: 1st click unlocks driver's door, 2nd click unlocks remaining door/s/- BUT THIS TIME, CONTINUE TO HOLD BUTTON DOWN, and upon after remaining door/s/ unlock /and continuing to hold/ the windows will begin to roll-down thereafter, even sunroof may open, as well, /if so eqipped/ . just an educated guess, without me reading your OWNER'S MANUAL. if no owner's manual, procure one.
There is no battery in the key fob just take it to the dealer with all the keys u have from the x and they reset them togther...
You can't
most likely it's a dud battery in fob. Easy to replace, just prise open fob. Keep a spare battery somewhere as I have been locked out by a dud battery!
Check the fuses, same thing happened to me. i had a blown fuse.
if you have a key fob hit the lock button and the doors should lock press it again, the horn should honk , alarm is on. to test it out roll your windows down first then go and lock the doors with the fob and hit lock to set the alarm on, (horn should honk) unlock the door by hand and open door, horn should honk quietly then go off full volume after 30 seconds
I have a Toyota, and my key fob light stayed on also. I called the dealer, and they said the button on the fob was stuck down INSIDE the fob. So, I simply unscrewed the screw on the back of the fob, opened the fob, then put it back together. The fob was fixed. I didn't have to fix anything in the fob.
